Her research interests are in the area of protein-protein interactions, protein engineering, molecular biophysics, and structural biology. She has authored 18 peer-reviewed research articles in SCI indexed international journals, 6 book chapters and a book on protein engineering techniques. She is a recipient of the ICMR young scientist award.
Ms. Sharanya Sarkar is currently working as a Research Associate at the Mechanistic Biological Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. She completed her master's degree in Biotechnology from IIT Roorkee in 2019, and her bachelor's in Microbiology from St. Xavier's College, Calcutta, in 2017.
