Abdullah A. Shaikh studied chemical engineering at the University of Petroleum & Minerals in Saudi Arabia and obtained, after working as process engineer in industry, his Ph.D. in 1984 at the University of Notre Dame, USA. Between 1992 and 1993 he was visiting scholar at the Chemical & Petroleum Refining Engineering Department, College of Engineering in the Colorado School of Mines, Golden, CO, USA. He became full professor in 1996 at the Chemical Engineering Department, College of Engineering Sciences, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran in Saudi Arabia. Since 2018 he works as consultant at Sipchem Company, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He published over 40 research articles.
