Advanced Excel Success (PDF)

This book is a gem for those who use Microsoft Excel on a regular basis for analysis purposes.

I find it especially rewarding since the author points out easy-to-understand ways that give success in the workplace. It is not always about complex formulas that provide you with sophisticated solutions.

When I started reading the book, it was like if I heard the author speaking to me.
The book is clearly structured in six chapters and starts with what may look like basics in the first chapter, but I dare say that even experts may find little, yet effective tricks that make work with Excel even more productive.

The first chapter is followed by a selection of functions that enhance every worksheet. My favorite chapter is rather at the end and comprehends a really powerful component of Excel, which is in my eyes Power Query. I have not worked through all chapters yet, but I am looking especially forward to going into detail in chapter 4, where the author gives advice on advanced charts.

Another benefit of the book is that it is possible to scan and skim through the pages.

Along with the book come the sample files that can be accessed through the publisher's web page.

In a nutshell, the book gives clear statements and comprehends really useful and relatively easy-to-use techniques. I would advise this book to everybody who works with Microsoft Excel on a regular basis.
