Prof. Pietro S. Randelli is Chairman of the 1st University Department of the Orthopaedic Institute Gaetano Pini, Milano, Italy. He is part of the Department of Biomedical Science of Health, University of Milan. This Unit has been approved as ESSKA (European Society Sport Medicine Knee Surgery Arthroscopy) official teaching center. Additionally, he became Full Professor of Traumatology and Orthopaedics at the University of Milan in October 2015. As of July 1st 2012 to 5th Dec 2016 he has been Director of the 2nd Orthopaedic Dept. of San Donato Policlinic Hospital IRCCS, under the University of Milan. From March 1st 2006 until 2015 he was Assistant professor in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University Study of Milan and within the same University he has been Proctor/ Co-proctor in Master Science Theses for Medicine and Surgery, as well as for the Residency Program in Orthopaedics and Traumatology. Prof. Randelli completed his Master degree in Medicine and Surgery Cum Laude in 1994 at the University of Milan, after which he specialized Cum Laude in Orthopaedics & Traumatology in 1999, also at the University of Milan. Since 2015 Prof. Randelli has performed more than 6000 surgeries as primary surgeon, mainly in hip, knee and shoulder prostheses and arthroscopy. As a chairman, President and board member in Orthopedic Associations, Prof. Randelli has been actively involved in SIGASCOT & ESSKA. He's honorary member of the AOSSM (American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine). Additionally he has been an associate editor for multiple journals (EFORT Orthopedics Today, Joints, Journal of orthopedics and traumatology) editorial board member for KSSTA and a reviewer for AJSM & KSSTA. During his career he was awarded several times in national and international meetings and performed more than 600 presentations.





Ladislav Kovacic, MD, is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon in the Clinical Department of Traumatology, University Medical Center Ljubljana, Slovenija. This institution is the largest and leading hospital in the country. It accepts patients from elsewhere in Slovenija and neighboring countries. Dr. Kovacic graduated from the Medical Faculty, University of Ljubljana, in 2000 and completed specialization in Traumatology in 2007, when he took up his present position. He also spent one year, 2016, working as orthopaedic and trauma surgeon in France. His professional focus of interest are intraarticular fractures, joint injuries, articular and periarticular pathology, sports traumatology and arthroscopic surgery. For the last few years, he is mainly involved in the treatment of shoulder pathology, performing open and arthroscopic procedures including advanced, complex and revision surgeries. He is involved in various research projects; results of scientific work are published in indexed medical journals. So far, he contributed several chapters in the books on arthroscopy, shoulder surgery and traumatology. He has participated numerous international courses as faculty, where he gave lectures and provides practical training. Traditionally, he is organizing cadaveric course on knee and shoulder arthroscopy in Ljubljana, which is popular educational event in this part of Europe. Dr. Kovacic is an active member of several national and international medical societies. He has been board member of ESSKA-ESA for several years and currently serves as a vice-chair of this section.
