Richard David Precht, Philosoph, Publizist und Autor, wurde 1964 in Solingen geboren. Er promovierte 1994 an der Universität Köln und arbeitete seitdem für nahezu alle grossen deutschen Zeitungen und Sendeanstalten. Für seine journalistische Arbeit erhielt er mehrere Auszeichnungen.Precht war Fellow bei der "Chicago Tribune". Im Jahr 2000 wurde er mit dem Publizistikpreis für Biomedizin ausgezeichnet. Richard David Precht lebt in Köln und Luxemburg.
