The Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), China's most prestigious engineering science and technology advisory institution, is the first pilot construction unit and the top national think-tank. In order to improve electronic information engineering technology development strategy research, innovate systems and mechanisms, and to integrate the benefits, in November 2015 the CEA, the Central Net Letter Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Electronics Technology Group jointly established the Center for Electronics and Information Studies.

The Center for Electronics and Information Studies focuses on high-level, open development.
