The section also includes essays on formal dialogue logic and its applications in computer science. The second section contains articles on epistemology and philosophy of science, including issues surrounding induction, the role of error in computer science, the relation of science to common sense, and the concept of discovery. Gary James Jason received a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Illinois, a master's degree in philosophy from the University of Illinois, a master's degree in computer science from the University of Kansas, and bachelor's degrees in physics and philosophy from UCLA. He is currently a lecturer in philosophy at California State University, Fullerton. He is the author of numerous articles, book reviews, and editorials as well as three books: The Logic of Scientific Discovery, Introduction to Logic, and Critical Thinking: Developing an Effective Worldview.
