Dr. A. Praveen Kumar is presently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Easwari Engineering College (A Unit of SRM Group of Institutions), Chennai, Tamilnadu. He acquired distinction in Bachelor's degree (Mechanical Engineering) and University first rank in Master's degree (Engineering Design) from Anna University, Chennai. He completed his Ph.D. degree in the area of crashworthiness of thin-walled structures from Anna University, Chennai. He has 5 years of teaching experience and 3 years of research experience. His major areas of research interests include 3D printing of composite parts, metal forming simulation, additive manufacturing, composite materials and structures, impact loading of hybrid tubes, and use of lightweight materials in automotive applications. Dr. A. Praveen Kumar authored a book titled "Mechanical behaviour of hybrid jute/glass polymer composites"- ISBN number: 978-613-9-82605-6 and co-authored a book titled "Development of Labyrinth Type Solar Thermal Energy Storage System"- ISBN number: 978-620-0-11406-8 in Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany.
