Rachael D. Goodman is an Assistant Professor in the Counseling and Development Program at George Mason University. Goodman's interests include social justice, cultural competence, counseling outreach, traumatic stress, disaster response, and counselor training. Her research and clinical work has focused on outreach and trauma counseling among marginalized populations, particularly in communities that have experienced oppression and natural or human-made disaster. Goodman serves as faculty co-advisor to the Gamma Mu Upsilon chapter of the Chi Sigma Iota, the international counseling honor society. She also provides consultation and supervision for several local community outreach projects. Goodman served as the clinical coordinator of outreach trips to post-Katrina New Orleans and southern Africa under the auspices of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development (AMCD). Paul C. Gorski is an assistant professor of Integrative Studies in George Mason University's New Century College, where he teaches classes on economic justice, social justice, environmental justice, and animal rights. He started an undergraduate Social Justice program in New Century College-the first ever such program at George Mason University. Gorski is the founder and executive director of EdChange, a collaborative of social justice educators and advocates committed to innovative scholarship, service, and resource development related to social justice in schools. He has been an active consultant, presenter, and trainer for fifteen years, conducting workshops and providing guidance to schools and community organizations committed to equity and social justice all over the world. He created and continues to maintain the Multicultural Pavilion, a Web site focused on critical multicultural education.
