South Langeland is a part of Denmark that features a very special nature experience.One of the island's major attractions is the herd of wild horses that was introduced to South Langeland in 2003. They are Exmoor ponies who manage on their own out in the nature all year round. The idea of bringing them to Langeland was not only for them to be a tourist attraction, but also with the purpose that they should crop the coastal meadow on Klise Nor. This would, amongst other things, benefit the local bird life - and it worked.
