This story is of the "coming of age" variety, specifically a father / son relationship and the methods a man will employ to initiate his boy to the "ways of the world and flesh" not taught in classrooms.Baseball, horse racing and most importantly pool are part of this bonding / teaching tale. There are eccentric characters, theology and a mystery surrounding an auto's voltage regulator. I am grateful to The Literary Yard, (Founder and Editor, Onkar Sharma) the previous publisher of this short story under the title "Clarence and Sonia."
He's married, has no kids, and no pets.
McDade is a 1973 graduate of Fairfield University.
He served two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy.
