The literary heritage of Volodymyr Vinnichenko belongs to the gold fund of Ukraine. In particular, he is the author of one of the first utopian novels, "Solar Machine" (written in 1922-1924), which started a new trend in Ukrainian literature. He was one of the most widely read Ukrainian authors of the 1920s.
Ivan Franko and Lesya Ukrainka welcomed the appearance of Vinnychenko's first works.

Protesting against the filth of his contemporary society, Vynnychenko brings out "positive" reformers who profess the freedom of the individual in relation to the collective, "honesty with oneself", etc.
