There were many challenges, successes, and concerns in providing long-term care to older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrea Freidus is the Graduate Director of the MA/MPH program at UNC Charlotte. She is an applied medical anthropologist whose main research interest is about the impact of COVID-19 on congregate and community-based care for older Americans in the Charlotte region.
