Dr. Varun Pratap Singh received Ph.D. (Mechanical Engineering) in the area of Solar Energy. He is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Head-Solar Energy Centre at College of Engineering Roorkee, Roorkee, India since August 2011. He has more than 11 years of research and academic experience in mechanical engineering and renewable energy. He has published 03 patent, 05 research articles in SCI journals and conferences. completed five projects as Principal Investigator (PI) and two projects as Co-PI with a total research grant of more than twenty lakh INR for government as well as Industry partners. He has delivered many invited talks in webinar, FDP and Workshops and attended 15+ MOOCs and 15+ FDPs from various national bodies like IITs, AICTE and international bodies like Delft University of Technology-Netherlands, Tsinghua University-China, National Chiao Tung University- Taiwan and The International Monetary Fund (IMF). He has been awarded as Award for outstanding mentoring of students and Perfect faculty award for excellence in academic and research. He has successfully guided 16 B.Tech., M.Tech and Ph.D. thesis. In administration he is working as head for Centre of Excellence, COER. As an academician Renewable Energy, Solar-Thermal application, Automation and Special Propose Machining (SPM) are his interest areas of association. His ORCID ID is 0000-0002-2148-5604.
Dr. Chandan Swaroop Meena is presently working as a Scientist in Building Energy Efficiency Department and Assistant Professor in Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) at CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee (Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India). He has done his Ph.D. in thermal engineering from IIT Roorkee, and M.Tech in thermal engineering from NIT Kurushetra. He does research in renewable energy utilization techniques, geothermal systems, building energy efficiency, two-phase flow, heat transfer. He is Life Member of Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT), Life Member of India Building Congress (IBC), and Life Member of The Institution of Engineers India (IEI). He has published 29 research articles in reputed Journals and International Conferences. He is associated with International Conferences as Invited Speaker/ Advisory Board/Review Board member. He has delivered many invited talks in webinar, FDP and Workshops.
Dr. Nitesh Dutt is working as Assistant Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. He has more than 7 years of teaching experience. He has done his bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, Masters and PhD from IIT Roorkee. He has published more than 11 research articles in international journals and conferences. His main area of research is Nuclear Engineering, Heat and Mass Transfer, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
