Second in The Homesteader Series: A young girl's scream, a baby's wail, and a toddler's cry broke the quiet of the countryside near Moriarty, New Mexico. Although unheard by neighbors too distant to help, their voices screeched a heartrending cry. Their mother lay writhing in pain at their feet.
Autoren-Porträt von Mary Jean Kelso
Mary Jean Kelso descends from Texas pioneer families. She writes many novels about the early West but also includes contemporary titles in her books for children, young adults and adults. Her factual book, A VISUAL HISTORY RECORD OF ALAMO DEFENDER GORDON CARTWRIGHT JENNINGS' FAMILY is a genealogy and image volume which traces the Jennings family from her gggrandfather, Gordon C. Jennings, who was the oldest man to die at the Alamo. His son, and Mary Jean's greatgrandfather, Samuel K., was one of Captain Cady's first Mounted Texas Rangers. Included are copies of tin types and cabinet cards from the family line which were passed down to her. She, and her co-author, Wendy Whiteman, are members of The Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of The Republic of Texas, The Alamo Defenders Descendants Association and The Alamo Society. Mary Jean also belongs to Made in Nevada http:www.madeinnevada.org.The Love He Left Behind is Mary Jean's latest novel available at Amazon.com or Createspace.com.
