Raffaele De Caterina is Professor of Cardiology at the University of Pisa, and Director, University Cardiology Division, at Pisa University Hospital. He is also Scientific Advisor for the "G. Monasterio" Foundation, Pisa, Italy. He has been Vice-President of the European Society of Cardiology (2008-2010) and President (2009-2013) of the International Society on Nutrigenetics/Nutrigenomics. He is the past-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Vascular Pharmacology, curentExecutive Editor of European Heart Journal, and author of >600 peer-reviewed manuscripts. Major research interests: Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Atrial Fibrillation, Coronary Artery Disease, Cardiovascular Thrombosis, Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics.
David J. Moliterno, MD (FESC, FACC, FSCAI, FAHA) is a Professor at the University of Kentucky. He was an attending cardiologist at the Cleveland Clinic for 10 years before joining the University of Kentucky, where he was chief of cardiovascular medicine and subsequently chair of internal medicine. Dr. Moliterno has been a visiting professor or lecturer in more than 30 countries. He is the author of over 400 publications and editor of 8 textbooks. He has been the primary author of publications
in BMJ, Circulation, EHJ, JACC, JAMA, Lancet, and NEJM. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief for the JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions and serves on the advisory board of the US FDA. As a clinical researcher, Dr. Moliterno has been a leader in numerous multinational investigational studies.
Collectively, these studies have involved over $1 billion in clinical trial research. His primary interests involve acute coronary syndromes, antithrombotic therapies, and interventional cardiology.
