Autoren-Porträt von Wei Yu, Kamy Sepehrnoori

Dr. Wei Yu is a research associate in the Hildebrand Department of Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and the chief technology officer for Sim Tech LLC. He is an Associate Editor for SPE Journal and Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering. His research interests include EDFM (Embedded Discrete Fracture Model) technology for modeling any complex fractures, shale gas and tight oil reservoir simulation, EDFM-AI for automatic history matching and complex fracture characterization. Dr. Yu has authored or coauthored more than 150 technical papers and holds five patents and two books ("Shale Gas and Tight Oil Reservoir Simulation¿ and "Embedded Discrete Fracture Modeling and Application in Reservoir Simulation¿). He holds a PhD degree in petroleum engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Yu is an active member of SPE.
