During the next year the young elephant is encouraged to take its place in the herd. Tom and Sophie dream that one day Dirshani will take part in the elephant demonstration. But there are a few hurdles for them all to cross before that dream is realised in this thrilling animal adventure.

Adam Frost has been writing children's books and poems for about seven years. In 2009, he wrote a set of poems for London Zoo's new kids' zone - if you visit the zone you can see his poems next to the enclosures. His favourite animal is the brown-throated sloth.
