Turner, who grew up in Haverhill and worked at the local tannery, is a retired engineer for AT&T with a BS and an MBA. He has published more than 200 articles in the Haverhill Gazette since he began writing for the newspaper in 1998. He is a frequent speaker on local history for groups such as NECOO, the Kiwanis Club, and Methuen High School and has given talks for Local Channel 33.
