To date, he has authored five published books in addition to numerous poems, essays, short stories, and literary reviews published worldwide. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal "Recovering the Self" published in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dempsey also writes about humanitarian issues at the Journal of Humanitarian Affairs and advocates animal rights and vegetarianism.
Victor R. Volkman is the publisher and President of Loving Healing Press, an independent content provider dedicated to redefining what is possible for healing mind and spirit since 2003. He has helmed more than a dozen anthologies including "Recovering The Self: A Journal of Hope and Healing", "More Than A Memory: Reflections of Viet Nam", "Authors Access: 30 Success Secrets for Authors and Publishers", "The Story That Must Be Told: True Tales of Transformation", among others.
