"If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the
world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you." John 15:19
Imagine the powerful testimony to the culture, if every believer turned away from the empty promises of the world, as scripture commands. If they abandoned the world's self-serving approval, fleeting power, and unfulfillment. If they disobeyed laws that deny faith in God and the values of God. If they stood in trueness to God in all things, living by faith in His providence and sovereignty.
Imagine how the world would change, if every believer humbly shared God's saving work in their life with those around them. If every believer dropped their pride and shared the failings in their life and their need for a Savior. Imagine the vast number of unbelievers who would come to see their own failings, come to see the love of Jesus in us, and come to desire the same saving power of God in their own lives, not just from the testimony of one believer, but from many!
Imagine and believe that the lost children of God can be found! "'For my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.' And they began to celebrate.'" Luke 15:24.
"Living with Babel" shows how this world is possible through God and His faithful servantsThrough faith in God's desire that "...all people be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Timothy 2:4) and faith that "with God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26).
The Bible says that when Jesus saw the people "...he felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36) This is the world today. Billions of people living in darkness, never finding peace. Seeing the crowds, Jesus said "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few " (Matthew 9:37). Jesus called on all believers to reach out to those around them, to lead them to him, the Good Shepherd. If we don't heed his call, we can't expect the world to change. The darkness will only grow, condemning them, and surrounding us and our children.
