[Rural Parish Ministry. An Inventory]
The book deals with the stereotypical ideas about the rural parish ministry. Such ideas are to be found likewise in official ecclesiastical, professional and academic texts which constantly tend to be self-affirming. The study wants to encourage the stopping of this process and to challenge these established modes of talking and thinking. The question is explored, how these stereotypes are communicated linguistically, how they direct perception. What is their significance as guiding concepts for the rural church? The linguistic reality of the rural parish ministry, in that way established, is analysed linguistically and is reflected from a pastoral-theological perspective.
