The Greek word Tetelestai, which is the last thing Jesus' said before dying on the cross, translates to "It Is Finished" in English. Tetelestai originates from the verb teleo, meaning "to Complete, to bring to an End, to Accomplish." The word is essential because it signifies the successful end to a specific event. Jesus completed this Mission by his Death and Resurrection on the Cross. The Finished Work of God. How did he achieve this work God sent him here to do? By destroying the work of Satan. Satan's work is he brought in Sin, which separated us from God. And the scripture says Christ came to destroy Satan's work (1 John 3:8). He did this by sacrificing his Blood on the Cross, in which the scriptures state, "The Blood of Jesus Wipes Out All Sin"(1 John 1:7)-Thereby connecting us back to God.
