There is no doubt that this book raised the controversy, which made it one of the most famous books of the twentieth century; In it, the author said that it is not legitimized by the "pre -Islamic poetry" to his era, and that it is impersonated from the era of Islam. These new opinions were a strong shock to his contemporaries, and they still resonate to this day; The pen battles between the doctor and his opponents, whether on the pages of newspapers and magazines, or by writing entire books to respond to it. This exceeded that, and the doctor was referred to the prosecution on charges of atheism and insulting Islam, but he is innocent of it. All this just because of free opinions in literature written by "Dean of Arabic Literature". The author followed the "scientific research curriculum" in his anatomy of pre -Islamic poetry, taking from the method of doubt for "Descartes" as a basis for building his criticism.
