Dr. Loraine Alderman is a licensed clinical psychologist and a certified school psychologist. She works in the New York City school system as a school psychologist, and has a private practice. Her first book, Don't You Get It? Living With Auditory Learning Disabilities, has sold worldwide. Dr. Alderman's focus is to advocate for children and adolescents with learning disabilities. She, as well as her father and son, have been diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder. Dr. Alderman was voted Best Psychologist by the readers of the Long Island Press for 2007, 2008 and 2011. She achieved her dream after growing up on Long Island, NY and became an authoritative children's author and children's motivational speaker.
