His research interests lie in studies of Economics of Biotechnology, Regional Innovation Systems, Knowledge Economies, and Policy Actions for Business Clusters and Networks. He is author of Knowledge Economies: Clusters, Learning and Cooperative Advantage (Routledge, 2002).
