Autoren-Porträt von Stephanie Fuller, Susan McGrady Crockett
I have always loved books. Reading books has been my passion since I was a child. Writing quality stories has been my desire since a young age. I taught school for 33 years and read many children's books through those years. Some were exceptional and others, not so much. When I'd sit down to read to my students, I'd tell them, "I'm going to read you one of my favorite books." and I meant it because if it wasn't a good, quality book, I wasn't going to share it with them. I love seeing children's faces light up when a story reaches their hearts, or hear them giggle when it reaches their funny bone. I love to see their eyes light up when they see the illustrations and use them to help figure out the story. There is nothing like a child's face when engrossed and absorbed in a story. When writing a story for a child, I want their heart to light up and shine. Get ready to put on your sunglasses or you might be blinded by the light shining out of your child's eyes as he/she discovers the adventures of Ginny Rose!Susan McGrady Crockett grew up in Southwest Virginia and has always loved creating art. She has worked as an artist for most of her life. This is her first picture book.
