Autoren-Porträt von Tim Keegan
Tim Keegan is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and obtained his PhD in African history from the University of London. After living and working in the UK and the USA, he spent five years in the African Studies Institute at Wits University before going to the History Department at the University of the Western Cape. In the mid-nineties he left to concentrate on research and writing. He has published several books including Rural Transformations in Industrialising South Africa, Colonial South Africa and the Origins of the Racial Order, Moravians in the Eastern Cape and the novels Waiting for the Moon, Tromp's Last Stand and My Life with the Duvals. He has been shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers' Prize (Africa region) and the Caine Prize for African Fiction.
