Christine Evans was born in London and grew up in Perth, Western Australia. She writes plays and fiction and lives in the U.S. Her award-winning plays have been produced in the U.S., Australia, England and Wales and published by Samuel French, Theatre Forum, and in Smith & Kraus' annual Best Monologues collections. In 2013 NoPassport Press published a trilogy of her plays, WAR PLAYS. Christine hasreceived a number of honours for her work, including an Australia Council for the Arts New Work Award, the Rella Lossy Playwriting Award; the Monash National Playwriting Award (Australia); the Weston Award in Dramatic Writing; and Perishable Theatre's Women's Playwriting Award (2000 and 2001). Christine holds
an M.F.A. (Playwriting) and a Ph.D. (Theatre & Performance Studies) from Brown.
