As the release of Body Count's 'Cop Killer' song is about to come out Chad finds himself with feelings of rebellion from his father who is a cop and the mostly white residents of his hometown. Chad also has a friend who may be taking the violent lyrics and rhetoric of gangsta rap too far. Chad aspires to be a man of change and integrity and the journey starts in his hometown
