After discovering Kevin's body, Tyler worries that reporting her discovery and fielding police questions would take too much time away from her work, not to mention that being involved in her boss' murder investigation would unquestionably damage her reputation at the firm. While trying to convince herself to do the right thing and report the body to the police, Tyler overdrinks and decides to delay her call until she sobers up. The next morning she discovers there is nothing to report: the body is gone. In short order, Kevin's body turns up in the firm's garage and Tyler's omission is uncovered by the police. Shamed by her selfish knee-jerk reaction to prioritize work over reporting a murder, Tyler begins to investigate Kevin's murder. While investigating, she contends with Kevin's hostile replacement, the pressure to perform at a high level and avoid being ejected from the nose hair wax defense team, and her growing suspicion that the murderer is one of her coworkers.
