An accident at a biochemical facility left a virus racing across the planet. Wary governments, weary of battles from the last pandemic, failed to respond in time to this new threat. As the bodies piled up something odd began to occur. The dead began to rise from their crypts with a thirst for blood.
The lack of action led to the decimation of the human population as this new super predator quickly declared its dominance. Now the human population was scattered across the globe and in dire need of rebuilding their numbers in order to have a chance to continue as a species.
Mikael stumbled upon Robin during one of his hunts, saving her from a vampire attack. What he didn't know was how she would be the key to restoring his hope for humans to survive or that she was only the first to come. Her clan mates await her return and are about to turn his world upside down. Will Mikael accept the challenge of helping these women start to usher in the next generation?
After several years in the Navy he enrolled in a community college and eventually to a university in the mountains. There he settled down, savoring a life not filled with the noises of the city but instead the sounds of bellowing cattle.
When not writing he can usually be found taking care of the horses on his place, riding, hiking, fishing, or the never ending task of splitting firewood.
