Phil West is one of the UK's longest-established and most authoritative motorcycling journalists and authors. A former editor of Bike magazine, What Bike? and American Motorcycles, he also launched his own independent publishing company, which launched Biking Times magazine. As a freelance writer his work has been published by Northern Biker, the Evening Standard, Stuff magazine and many more. For the last decade he has been Executive Editor of Motorcycle News, the world's leading motorcycling newspaper. During all of this time he has ridden, tested and written about virtually every new bike of the last thirty years, including every variant of BMW GS.
