This book is a collection of short stories for ages 8-15 to read aloud. Created for teachers (and parents) to read to their students, it consists of ten stories, ranging from science fiction to fantasy to real-life adventure. Some stories are true, some are true but slightly fictionalized, and some are simply fiction in a "what if?" style. For example, what if an alien needed to make peanut butter cookies? What if a science teacher grew plants with an attitude? I hope to spark ideas for future student writers to invent their own stories to tell.

Valet to two Cat Masters, bird and beach fanatic, Gail Storrs lives in Tacoma, Washington with the cats and an overabundance of books. She managed to survive twenty-seven years of elementary teaching by keeping herself amused at all costs. Reading aloud the quirkiest stories she could find was one way to do this. After a while, writing stories of that sort was even better. In retirement, she's chasing all the moving parts of self-publishing, determined to put the stories she wrote for the kids into print.

Gail likes traveling, kayaking (she's a fair-weather kayaker), singing in her church gospel choir, birding, writing, beachcombing, photography, and of course, reading with a cat on her lap. Check out what's new at: https://www.gailstorrs.com/
