She is a stranger to the ways of the rest of the world and their politics, but she grew up in the middle of untamed politics of her own that might help deal with what is out there. There is death and selfishness, out there waiting and she will have to face it all. The ancients are there for her, and she is there for the world ready and willing to sacrifice what is needed to do the good that is her inward drive.

She faces being despised by even some of the ancients:

~ Corvuset looked at ShadowDancer, anger he could not unleash filled his eyes. "We are ancients and you have allowed a lesser race to take control of an ancient. The council will not forgive this."

Lyamy learns a hard lesson on messing with time:

~ The timeline changed its glare, to a slightly less harsh appearance. "I cannot stop you from making changes, you have the power. I can request before you touch another fixed event you call me." The creature handed her a small black stone. "I can help you not collapse existence."

The bigger the power, the bigger the mistakes.

Autoren-Porträt von DeWitt Tremaine

DeWitt Tremaine was born in 1959 and grew up in the small town of Stony Creek New York. In his early career he served 8 years in the US Air Force. Having been raised doing construction work he later became a lead in construction work. Most recent career has been providing computer technical support for over 25 years. DeWitt got married after settling in Idaho, and had two wonderful children. He has traveled most of the continental USA, having driven through or visited over 40 states, loves the outdoors and camping. In 1977 he created the world of Ethar as a Game Master (DM) running a tabletop game of Dungeons and Dragons. In accordance with the lore of the game the universe and world of Ethar were created by the whim of the Crystalline Dragon. The world of Ethar has filled in and grown over time and is still a platformed used for running tabletop gaming and the world from which fantasy has sprung forth in the writing of tales from the Ethar World. The world has a life of its own and the writings are but a glimpse of events that can be shared. DeWitt has been an avid reader of fiction and non-fiction books and has been a resident of Idaho as home since 1987.
