The Palgrave Handbook of Sustainability explores three broad themes: Environmental Sustainability, Social Sustainability and Economic Sustainability. The authors critically explore these themes and provide insight into their linkages with one another to demonstrate the substantial efforts currently underway to address the sustainability of our planet. He is also the Vice Provost for Scholarship and Research and the Dean for Graduate Studies. Sandra J. Garren is the Director of Sustainability Studies and Assistant Professor in the Geology, Environment and Sustainability Department at Hofstra University, USA. She is also the Director of Sustainability Research at the National Center for Suburban Studies at the university.
