Pressezitat
"I warmly welcome Dr. Clarkson's study of William Law. Despite much lip service to Law the Mystic, there is a great need for guidance through his voluminous writings. Dr. Clarkson provides this. He does not flinch at the obscurities but helps us to grasp the insights underlying the long sentences of his subject. He also provides a useful commentary on some of Law's principle commentators. It is to be hoped that he will encourage more people to turn to Law himself in his more accessible writings." (Rev. Dr. Christopher Armstrong, author of Evelyn Underhill: An Introduction to Her Life and Writings)"In 'The Mysticism of William Law' George Clarkson gives us a thorough introductory study of a significant mystical writer. The influence of Jacob Boehme on Law will be of particular interest to students of mysticism. This book will be informative both for those who know of Law and for those who don't." (David Platt, Wilson College) "Specialists in the history of Christian spirituality will need to be aware of this book." (ADRIS Newsletter)
