Dr Aleksandar Joksimovic - is Director of the Institute of Marine Biology, University of Montenegro. Since 1996, has been working at the Institute of Marine Biology, University of Montenegro, where he passed through all the stages of scientific research, from assistant to PhD. Since 2006 he is head of the Laboratory of Ichthyology and marine fisheries, and from 2007 to 2013, he was director of the Institute, in the two mandats. The area of scientific research, PhD Joksimovic are marine biology, fisheries and ichthyology, biology and ecology, population dynamics of economically important species of fish, crustaceans and molluscs, marine fisheries resource assessment, assessment of biological permitted use (MSY- (Maximum Sustaineble Yield). He is a member of the following international and national labor bodies, Vice-chair of Scientific Advisory Committe of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM-FAO RIM); Coordinator of the Working Group on fisheries and mariculture the Forum Chambers of commerce of the Adriatic-Ionian region; National Scientific focal point in Montenegro in the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean, based in Rome.
