Dave Renné, Ph.D., served as President of the International Solar Energy Society from 2010 until 2019. From 1991 until his retirement in 2012, Dr. Renné managed the solar resource assessment activities at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). In 2012 he formed the consultancy Dave Renne Renewables. He is dedicated to urgently achieving 100% renewable energy to meet our end-use energy requirements as the best solution to the climate crisis. Dr. Renne received his Masters's and Ph.D. degrees in atmospheric sciences and earth resources at Colorado State University. He holds a Liberal Arts Bachelor's Degree with a major in Physics from Kalamazoo College, Michigan.

Carly Rixham is the Executive Director of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES) and Editor and Publisher of the ASES Solar Today magazine. Before working for the ASES, she was a microbiologist with BioVantage Resources, culturing algae for bio-remediation of nutrients in wastewater. She received her Master's in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder, where she researched microalgae for biofuel production. While studying in Boulder, Rixham was the Director of Arts and Sciences at CU Energy. Before her renewable energy career, she taught biology and ecology at the university and high school levels and worked in software development at Intuit. 

Lauren Reddington is a 2021 environmental studies and pre-law graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder. She was selected as an intern for the Zero Emissions Network (ZEN), a program of the American Solar Energy Society (ASES), in the spring of 2021. She was then promoted to Operations Manager and recruited as the ASES Programs Director.
