Prof. Yogesh M. Joshi is a Professor and P. K. Kelkar Research Fellow in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. He obtained B.E. in Polymer Engineering from Pune University in 1996 and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from National Chemical Laboratory Pune and Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2001. Subsequently he worked at Benjamin Levich Institute, New York as a post-doctoral fellow. Dr. Joshi joined IIT Kanpur in July 2004. Prof. Joshi is a recipient of numerous awards including NASI Scopus Young Scientist Award (2012), DAE-SRC Outstanding Investigator Award (2012), Amar Dye Chem Award (2009), INAE Young Engineer award (2008) and INSA medal for young scientist (2006). He is a life member of National Academy of Sciences India (2012), an Associate of Indian National Academy of Engineering (2013-2019) and was an Associate of Indian Academy of Sciences (2006 - 2009). Prof. Joshi has served as a visiting faculty in Université du Maine, France (2008) and as a INSA visiting scientist in University of Edinburgh UK (2010). He has over 50 research publications in international journals and has given over 50 lectures/invited talks in India and abroad. His current research interests are thixotropy, rheological behavior of glasses and gels, phase behavior clay suspensions, and electrorheology.

Prof. Sameer Khandekar is affiliated to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, since September 2004. Prof. Khandekar completed Masters Degree from IIT Kanpur, India in 2000 with specialization in fluid-thermal engineering and subsequently earned doctoral degree from the University of Stuttgart, Germany (2000-2004). Earlier, after his undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Jabalpur (MP) in 1993, he worked as a marine power plant engineer on board sea-going merchant vessels for four years (1994-1998).
