A former photo assistant of Richard Burbridge, Michael Hauptman has been taking pictures and living in New York City for the last 15 years.

Originally from Iowa, Michael Hauptman started taking photographs at a very young age when his grandparents gave him his first camera. After attending University of California, Hauptman moved to NYC in 2005. Hauptman's work has been featured in T Magazine, British Vogue, Dazed & Confused, i-D, and Purple. Hauptman currently lives between London and New York.
