Jones by pointing to the intertwining of their themes, motifs, and techniques of writing to form an intricate pattern of intertextualized collective memory of the American nation. Gräyna M. T. Branny is Associate Professor at the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Kraków, Poland. She has almost 100 publications to her name, mostly in Southern studies (William Faulkner, William Styron, Walker Percy, Cormac McCarthy), Joseph Conrad studies, African American literature (Toni Morrison) and Native American one (Louise Erdrich).
