There were many facets of the evolution of life insurance in India such as Vedic period, Buddhist period, British India and free India. Thus history of evolution of life insurance in India can be divided in four facets. (1) Life insurance in India in Ancient period (Vedic and Buddhist Period), (2) Life Insurance in India in British Period (Pre Nationalization Period), (3) Life insurance in India in Nationalization Period (1956 to 1999), (4) Life Insurance in India in Post Liberalization Period. The content of this book portrays a comprehensive scenario of life insurance in India and its 360-degree journey over a period of more than a hundred years with the transition from an open competitivesector to nationalization and then back to a liberalized market.

He is awarded in financial planning from Chartered Insurance Institute - London (UK). He is working as a development officer in Life Insurance Corporation of India and Visiting Faculty in BKSBM.
