Typical access speeds for storage mediums are inversely proportional to capacity.Through data compression, such tasks can be optimized. In this book authors have reviewed the state-of-art optimization techniques that are being implemented in designing DCT based Processor for image compression, tailored some of them and also incorporated new ideas to further optimize the design.

Dash, DebashishDebashish Dash received the B.Tech degree in Electronics Engineering, in 2007 and M.Tech degree in control engg. from NIT, Silchar,in 2013. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the NIT Silchar,India on 2019. Since 2018, he is employed as Sr. Assistant Prof. in dept. of ECE at Madanapalle Inst. of Tech. & Science, Madanapalle.
