Klappentext zu „Anthropology of Drink “
The human race has been getting together for a drink for thousands of years. Whether for religious rituals, celebrations, commiserations or simply a catch-up with friends, sharing drinks with others has long been the foundation of social connections. But how did each region develop its own drink, why, and how has it evolved and travelled? Jamaica may be the home of rum, but how was it first drunk and will we ever get to the bottom of where the name comes from (rum bullion, rumbustion, or rummers?)Let drinks expert Aleesha Hansel take you on a lively libationary journey around the globe and discover what everyone's been drinking since we first learned the magical effects of alcohol - from honey beer in Kenya and aperitivo in Italy, to sake in Japan and wine in Georgia.
