Yi Liu received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in Automation and Control Engineering from the Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2004 and 2007, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in Mechatronic Engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2016. From March 2016 to June 2016, he was Senior R & D Engineer with the Fourth Academy of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, Wuhan, China. From July 2016 to October 2019, he was Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Electromagnetic Engineering and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where he has been Lecturer since January 2020. He is IEEE Senior Member, Vice-Chair for IEEE IES Wuhan Chapter, Associate Editor for the Industrial Automation and Control Committee (IACC) of IEEE IAS. Till now, Dr. Liu has published one monograph and more than 60 high-quality papers, held 20 granted invention patents. He has received one IEEE Prize Paper Award in 2020. His current research interests are mainly in multi-port electrical machines and drive systems. Dr. Liu has been invited to give tutorials for some academic conferences, e.g., 2019 IEEE International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS2019), 23rd China Power Supply Society Conference (CPSSC2019). And, he has organized special sessions on multi-port electrical machines for some conferences, e.g. ICEMS2019, ECCE Asia2020, ICEM2020 and IEEE-PEMC2020. Prof. Dr Xu received the double B.E. degree from Tianjin University (TJU), China, in July 2002, and M.E. degree from TJU in March 2005, and the Ph.D. degree from Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEECAS), in July 2008, respectively, all in electrical engineering.
