Oktober 1852 ebenda) war ein französischer Botaniker und Mediziner. Er war der Sohn des Botanikers Louis Claude Marie Richard (1754 1821). Sein offizielles botanisches Autorenkürzel lautet A.Rich. . Achille Richard war Pharmazeut in der französischen Flotte und Mitglied mehrerer bedeutender Akademien, so ab 1834 der Académie des sciences. Von 1830 bis 1833 schrieb er zusammen mit Jean Baptiste Antoine Guillemin (1796 1842) und Samuel Perrottet (1793 1859) das Werk Florae Senegambiae tentamen, seu Historia plantarum in diversis Senegambiae regionibus a peregrinatoribus Perrottet et Leprieur detectarum (erschienen bei Treuttel et Wurtz, Paris), eine Florabeschreibung Senegals.
