Dr. Biegon has authored more than 80 papers on various aspects of drug receptor localization and regulation in the brain. Nora D. Volkow, M.D. is Director of Nuclear Medicine and Associate Chief of Staff, Medical Department, Brookhaven National Laboratory. She is also Associate Professor at the Department of Psychiatry at SUNY-Stony Brook. She was the pioneer on the use of Nuclear medicine Techniques for the investigation of drugs of abuse. She has authored more than 110 research papers as well as more than 40 chapters and paper reviews on the applications of positron emission tomography in psychiatry, substance abuse and pharmacology.
