Autoren-Porträt von Hans-Walter Heldt, Birgit Piechulla
Prof. Dr. Hans-Walter Heldt, was one of the renowned German plant biochemists (born 1934, died 2019). He was head of the Albrecht-von-Haller-Institute for Plant Biochemistry of the University of Göttingen. His major research interests were focused on 'metabolite transport across cellular and subcellular membranes of plants, and photosynthesis metabolism'. He received the Max-Planck-Forschungspreis in 1993 and was nominated by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) as "Highly Cited Researcher" (253 publications) in 2002.
