Autoren-Porträt von Mary Allen
Mary is a farmer's daughter from the Staffordshire Peak District. She left high school and worked in an office until 1968, when she married a Travelling man and adopted his travelling lifestyle. They later settled in Morecambe for a time, where the couple ran their own guesthouse. The family then moved to France where Mary and her husband remained until shortly before his death when they returned to England and the Peak District. She has three grown-up daughters and six grandchildren. This is her first novel.
